The second annual Day of Action was held in Marion County on Friday, June 21, 2019. The day of service kicked off at beautiful Palatine Park. 168 volunteers completed 21 projects throughout Marion County. Over 750 hours of service were completed on this special day.
The United Way Day of Action is a national initiative designed to foster service and volunteering in the community. Participants from companies and organizations spent the day helping local non-profit agencies. These volunteers recognize the benefit of having a firsthand opportunity to learn how United Way and local organizations are meeting the human service needs in our community.
